happy Easter!

Well, it's not turning out exactly like I had planned, but you have to take it as it comes sometimes. Mags woke up sick this morning...then felt better all day so we had high hopes of participating in the Easter festivities tomorrow, but then sick again tonight. Ugh. Then she asks me in her little sweet sick voice..."will the Easter bunny still come tonight even though I am sick?" Of course he will my love...sometimes she just melts my heart. Sigh.

I had Friday off, so I was able to finish 2 LOs for the Studio Calico 3/28 sketch challenge and also for the weekly color combo challenge...I'll also share a LO from the 3/21 sketch challenge.

Over already?

It is 6:20 p.m. on the last day of spring break and I can't believe it is already over. I had such great plans for getting so much done. It didn't all happen, but I did:
1. clean out mag's closet and get 6 bags of stuff packed up for the resale store
2. take winter sweaters to the cleaners so I can pack them away...yes...it is already time
3. plant tomatoes
4. take a trip to the San Antonio zoo...I have really been wanting to go for a long time
5. take 3 trash bags full of stuff to goodwill
6. scrap...although I was aiming for 1 LO a day, it didn't happen, but I did complete 2...and started 2 others

So here are the LOs I have to share...the first one I did for the Sunday sketch at the Studio Calico blog...these are just bits of paper...one from the bottom strip of SC paper and the other from a note card in the March kit...I am sooooo hoping for full size papers of both of these...I love them sooooo much!



and then one of mags with her new glasses...I hated my glasses when I was a child and I was so worried that she would hate hers too, but in true mags style, they are just a fashion statement! gotta love that girl!

You've been sick...what??

Yes...it seems like I have been sick for 3 weeks. You know why it feels that way? because I have been sick for that long...I'm so tired of blowing my nose...my only salvation has been vicks infused puffs...I should buy stock in procter and gamble.

a fun filled Saturday

well...not exactly! I'm up way to early so I can go sit in a room all day and learn how to teach physics...what I really need to learn is how to teach physics to students who couldn't care less about learning physics! sorry...it's been a long week...I have been sick...and it is wearing me down!

my mom, sarah, my brother and katrina are in town and mags has a birthday party to go to this afternoon...so it will be a busy day...hoping I can hide tomorrow and rest!

I did the sunday sketch challenge at studio calico in spite of how crummy I've been feeling...scrapping makes everything better...right? I used my newly arrived Bakers Dozen kit...I tell ya...scrap supplies delivered to my door makes me happy!

My friend Sherine sent these to me in the mail for v-day...and she asked that we take pics and post them...and I have to say...they were so much fun...but maybe I should have put on makeup first...well, at least I didn't have to worry about lip stick!

breakfast at Tiffany's

We are going shopping today to find mags the perfect dress to wear to a breakfast at tiffany's themed birthday party...wish us luck!
I made a LO this week for the Studio Calico sunday sketch challenge and the ruffles on a LO challenge...only had time for 1 LO!



and a close up of my ruffles...and my martha stewart butterfly...yes, I'm addicted to it!



I also made a card for the Inspired Blueprints sketch #41 challenge...for a sweet friend who is struggling

so how old are you anyway?

I heard that question too many times this week by students who found out is was my birthday on Wednesday...well...I am going to tell it to everyone today that I am 43...wow...that sounds old! I got a new 18-270 mm lens and I am really.really excited to put it to use!

I managed to squeeze in two challenge at Studio Calico this week...

the 1/31 sketch challenge where I used my new SC Anthology paper that arrived on Friday!!



and the use some red challenge where I lifted Caroline Menard in entreARTistes magazine...I used up a bunch of alphas that I would never have used...love that feeling...and the yellow herringbone paper from the whodunit SC kit...serious love for that paper!
