I LOVE using up some old scraps for cards...these were made with some super old Crate Paper!!

We are getting a new family room...a place where all the junk can be thrown so the rest of the house stays semi-clean...I cannot wait for it to be done...and to throw the junk in there...I have been taking pictures of the daily progress...and today I was really surprised when I got home and saw this...

it actually is beginning to look like a room...I cannot wait for it to be done!!

happy rainy saturday

It has been a card making week for me! I submitted a card for the Inspired Blueprints DT call. I make birthday cards for all of the students in my class, so it seemed like something I could do even during the school year! I used some October Afternoon Road Trip scraps and came up with this:

And a funny story about the mother's day cards I made this week. I had a piece of paper sitting out from the March Studio Calico kit. I never thought I would use it, but sometimes if I put something out and look at long enough I will get some inspiration. Well, mags in her infinite wisdom walked by this particular piece of paper and said..."that looks just like nana and that one looks like grandma". And she was right (but that goes without saying)! So I cut them out card size added some ribbon and some roses I made with my new Tim Holts grungy flowers die cut. They may just be my most favorite cards ever!

For nana...

Making these cards has given me the itch to scrap...so maybe that will happen this weekend!

Easter Sunday

Happy Easter! We had a very low key day...woke up to all of the goodies left by the Easter bunny and had breakfast for dinner at grandma and poopas house. I managed to make a card for grandma using Fall to #81 sketch from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog...thanks Christi and Lea for posting their versions!

I used 1" circles cut from some old Making Memories paper and a cute fuzzy felt bunny cut with my Quickutz.

Happy Sunday...and have a great week!

happy Easter!

Well, it's not turning out exactly like I had planned, but you have to take it as it comes sometimes. Mags woke up sick this morning...then felt better all day so we had high hopes of participating in the Easter festivities tomorrow, but then sick again tonight. Ugh. Then she asks me in her little sweet sick voice..."will the Easter bunny still come tonight even though I am sick?" Of course he will my love...sometimes she just melts my heart. Sigh.

I had Friday off, so I was able to finish 2 LOs for the Studio Calico 3/28 sketch challenge and also for the weekly color combo challenge...I'll also share a LO from the 3/21 sketch challenge.

Studio Calico 3/21 sketch challenge LO made with my Studio Calico kit and the weekly challenge to use at least 3 Studio Calico stamps.
