it's wednesday

Nothing like a random mid week post...but I just had to share this adorable christmas craft!

Over the thanksgiving holiday, I need to keep 4 girls ages 7-13 busy...not an easy task I might add...but this did it and it was really a lot of fun!

I pre-cut shapes from American Crafts foil paper using my much neglected quickuts and spellbinder dies...then the sparkle girls attached them to transparent string that I picked up in the jewelry section of my local Hobby Lobby. We used Aleene's tacky glue and it worked like a charm! We added jingle bells and beads and then I tied them to twigs covered in sparkly glass!

Now it sits on my entry table with all of my christmas cards...I love it!

Sunday again...

Seems like I can only get around to updating on Sundays...I have been working on my gratitude journal using my Label Tulip October kit...here are pages 2, 3 and 4...the second page of my gratitude journal has a quote from Johannes A. Gaertner...To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven. The 3rd page is a library pocket with little inserts to write my gratitudes on. And the 3rd page is a hambly transparency with a little envelope for secret gratitudes.

ahhhh...sunday

I have been such a bad blogger...I know...but I haven't really been all that creative lately and didn't have anything to share...I guess I need some new scrappy supplies to put me in the mood!

I have had a busy weekend filled with family and friends...I love that! My sister and her husband threw a huge party at Gumbos to celebrate their 20th year anniversary...and it was fabulous...the food, the band, the people...it was all perfect!

I did manage to finish up my cards for a little thanksgiving card swap going on at Scrap-Diner...I used some super old cosmo cricket that I have had for forever...love when I can use up some of my stash...and I think they turned out pretty cute!

hope you have a fabulous week!
