mini book obsession

I think a mini book is a perfect gift for just about any occasion and I am trying to use up some stuff that I just had to have, but really had no use for...enter a baby shower and some old SEI, hand stitching and a doily and you get this...

just a little something to pack in your purse to show an adorable little baby.

Studio Calico Elmwood Park

at first glance, I wasn't really into this kit, but the more I use it, the more I love it...it has been perfect for 4th of July LOs and some cards so I thought I would share what I have done with it so far...

4th of July...a lift of the fabulous Shanna Noel for a layout a week challenge at SC.

and I had to use it for the baseball game and firework pics too...for the Sunday sketch challenge at SC.

and I used it for a LO of mags and her buddy K riding the cows...

and 3 cards...
a congratulations card for the weekly layering challenge at SC.

a happy birthday card.

and some welcome back cards for some of my peeps from school...yikes, we go back on the 16th!

plus the LO from the write your own story LO from the previous post...so that is 4 LOs and 6 cards (I made 4 with the girls)...still have a way to go to finish it up, but it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel!

I get by...

with a little help from my friends...you know how that song goes! so when asked to make some inspirational pages for a project that will help out women and children there was no hesitation...so I hopped on over to Dina Wakley's blog for some messy inspirational inspiration and here are 3 LOs that I hope can help...and all it took was 3 papers from a BG basics paper pack that I got at HL on clearance, a few scraps of paper, paint, mist, black thread a few stickers and veneer stars and just a little bit of time.

write your own story...using my Elmwood Park kit from SC...the white butterflies have tulle sewed on them are are very fluffy!

it is not using my Studio Calico city of lights kit and some abroad paper too...

and be your own here...this one goes all the way back to Mind the Gap...that piece of yellow woodgrain paper has been sitting on my desk for ages (well almost 9 months now)...

and there you have it...
I would love to do more, but school is right around the corner and I need to get ready to go back to work :(
