just another manic monday

not really, but it makes for a good title!

this is my last teacher work day before the students arrive tomorrow...the beginning of school is always a little nerve racking for me and I never feel like I am prepared, but it always seems to work out somehow...

here's a little LO I did last week for the studio calico weekly challenge...a recipe challenge...black cardstock, mist, stamp, border punches and bling...I used bits and pieces from various studio calico kits...I love it when I can use up some of my "older" stuff!

Going back to school has really put the kabosh on my blogging but I think once things settle in I will be fine.

I really loved the last Inspired Blueprints sketch and there was a 3 card challenge going on at Studio Calico that I decided to make cards for all of the teachers and staff that I work with...we go back to work on Thursday! yikes!



I also made these 3 cards for the challenge...for some reason I am all about the love right now!

I loved the little animals that came on a piece of paper in one of the Studio Calico kits...I just had to cut them out!





and then I used up the waves from my volente beach page to make a little mini for mag's mail box!

I made a bunch of the welcome back cards to give to the teachers I work with. We go back to work Thursday and I thought it might be nice to let them know that I really appreciate working with them! I'll post a pic of all of them later!

when I can use some supplies that came in a kit that when I first looked at them I thought I would never use...and it makes me happy that I did use it and acutally love the LO! when I first saw the KI lace frames and all the diecuts I couldn't imagine using them...but use them I did! this is a pic from last year...a trip to our favorite antique store that we always go to when we visit my mom...



and a close up of the background...I sprayed Maya Road latte mist through a window screen...love the effect!
