happy scrappy saturday

I finally had time to do some scrapping and some challenges!
First up is a LO I did for the point blank period september challenge...out of the box scrapping...I actually did a LO about me...gasp!



and a close up of the flower I made ala the next step challenge blog!



Next I did a challenge for the scrap-diner to celebrate another person using my label tulip kit...I scrapped my mom and my sister...my support system!

Mags has had a fever since Friday...she is still asleep and I am hoping she will be fever free today so she can go to school tomorrow. We have just been hanging around the house doing our usual weekend stuff...cleaning and crafting...I managed 3 cards using the September Label Tulip kit...I know I have said this before, but these kits rock!







Today, I am going to the gym and then the grocery store...mags has requested cheese soup for dinner tonight.

now I done gone and did it

I love my Label Tulip kits so much that when Jennifer announced the DT call I was sure I could get something together to submit. Then my aunt died and I went away for a few days for her memorial service. I was about to let it go...but when I got home I whipped up these 2 LOs and using an old fav LO and card I submitted. So...keeping my fingers crossed!

the end of summer

I know it is the end of summer when my brother and his family make the trek down to Austin from the Dallas area. He and his wife have 4 kids and mags just adores them! They always have such a great time together and I always have plenty of photo ops. I am scrapping this one right now!

life happens

Sometimes life is just too much!

Right before school started there was a death in my family and I had to travel to the memorial service...then 8 days of teacher training started...then we all started school...a new schedule and a whole new routine to get use to...now 2 weeks into school, my aunt has passed away and I am off next weekend to another memorial service...a 6 hour drive away...

I am worn out and just wanting to get caught up enough to do some scrapping, some relaxing and having some me time...I haven't done one thing...not one page...not one card since school started...that makes me sad...

I'll get it together...that's just the way I am...but this year going back to school has been hard...

but I did manage to take back to school pics on the first day of school...after all the posing on the first day of school...I kept shooting and captured this one last wave before mags started 2nd grade...my favorite pic of the day...
